Joseph Pennell (American, 1860-1926) Lot of Two Views of French cities: Flower Market and Butter Tower, Rouen, 1907, edition probably of 200 (Wuerth, 463) and Amiens from the Somme, 1908, edition of 35 (Wuerth, 489). Both signed "Jos Pennell imp" in pencil l.c. Etchings on paper, plate sizes approximately 9 7/8 x 7 7/8 in. (25.0 x 19.9 cm), framed. Condition: Unobtrusive toning, subtle rippling, several fox marks, not examined out of frames. Provenance: From the Estates of Mary Ann and Frederick Lippitt, Providence, Rhode Island.
