Large Gorham Sterling Presentation Urn, date marked 1926, with leaftip and flowerhead rims and girdle, loop handles with flowerhead bosses and acanthus terminals, on trumpet foot, engraved with presentation inscription dated 1927, ht. 20 1/2 in., approx. 86 troy oz. Note: Property of the Honorable Joseph H. Gainer, Mayor of Providence, January 1913 to January 1927. Inscription reads "Honorable Joseph H. Gainer, Mayor of Providence, January 1913 to December 1926, Presented at a Complimentary Dinner tendered by the Citizens of Providence January 5, 1927."
