Four Piece Federal Coin Silver Tea Service, New York, c. 1820, Nicholas J. Bogert, maker, comprising paneled ovoid teapot, covered sugar, creamer, and waste bowl, the pot and sugar with domed lid with flower-form finial, serpentine handles, with heart-shaped milled rims, and trumpet bases topped by band of heart-shaped lambrequins, monogrammed, pot ht. 9 in., approx. 86 troy oz. total. teapot: 1/4" ding and a few pinpoints to panels of one side. Base of handle pushed very slightly into body (visible only from interior as a light halo). creamer: thumb-sized dent to top of one panel of side. Body compressed a bit onto foot. minor usage/age wear. marks good.
