Seven Piece Gorham Sterling Repousse Tea and Coffee Service, retailed by J. E. Caldwell & Co., c. 1874, comprising two ovoid teapots, ovoid coffeepot, covered sugar, creamer, waste bowl, and kettle on stand, with flower-form finials, ear handles with overlapping fishscale, bodies chased and embossed with dense foliates, and centered by an olive leaf girdle, monogrammed to undersides, kettle ht. 11 1/4, coffeepot ht. 7 3/4 in., approx. 158 troy oz. total. Good, with minor age wear and light surface scratching. Some spots of light corrosion. Heavy tarnish. Kettle lacking Gorham mark, but matching rest of set. burner present.
