Jules Moigniez (French, 1835-1894), Bronze Figure of a Bird Feeding her Fledglings, the mother bird perched on a tree branch, leaning down to offer a moth in her beak to a pair of chicks in a nest below her, ovoid naturalistic base with mold incised signature, (losses to tail feathers), ht. 19, base 12 3/4 x 8 1/4 in. loss to end of long left tail feather, long right tail feather cracked and bend down to touch wing. minor loss to foliage at branch behind right wing of bird. surface grime and some corrosion, otherwise a decent patina (a bit dry, could use a bit of buffing).
