Plains/Prairie Buffalo Hide Quiver, c. first half 19th century, with wood stiffener, a small piece remains of the original bow case, traces of red and green pigment, contains seven arrow shafts, four with metal points, remnant harness leather strap, lg. 25 1/2 in. Provenance: Mordecai Thomas Bartram (1843-1904), collected between 1871 and 1873, then descended within the family.
