Maurice King Burns (American, 20th Century) Cape Ann Harbor Scene Unsigned. Oil on canvas, 16 x 20 in. (40.6 x 50.8 cm), in a frame with incised signature "Goodnow". Condition: Minor craquelure, scattered retouch, subtle varnish inconsistencies. Provenance: Through the artist's family, Old Greenwich, Connecticut. Scattered retouch is in the sky area in the u.l. and u.r. quadrants and water area in the l.l. quadrant, largest area is approx. 3/4 in x 3/4 in. in l.l. quadrant and does not appear to be the result of any canvas damage.
