Tasha Tudor (American, b. 1915) Lot of Four Portraits of a Corgi The first signed and dated "T. Tudor 1966" l.r., the second signed "T. Tudor" l.r., the third unsigned, the fourth dedicated "December 1969 / Happy Birthday to Mary / from Tasha." The first pastel on paper, sight size 16 x 12 in. (40.6 x 30.5 cm); the second ink and graphite on paper, sight size 8 x 6 1/4 in. (20.3 x 15.9 cm), the third ink and graphite on paper, 7 x 5 1/4 in. (17.8 x 13.3 cm), the fourth ink on paper, sheet size 6 x 4 3/8 in. (15.2 x 11.1 cm), three framed, one unframed. Condition: Not examined out of frames, the fourth with tears and acid burn. A handmade card is affixed to the reverse of one work, which is inscribed "Many happy returns of this special day, and with hopes that you find this useful! Fondly Tasha"; an offset printed card is attached to the Corgi pastel, which reads "Christmas Greetings adn Best Wishes for a Happy New Year" and is dedicated "To Mary and Doug from Tasha, Megan and Studley A." in pen.
