DeWitt McClellan Lockman (American, 1870-1957) Portrait of Margaret Reed Unsigned, identified on a presentation plaque, sitter identified in a later inscription on the reverse. Oil on canvas, 36 x 29 in. (91.4 x 73.6 cm), framed. Condition: Lined, retouch, varnish inconsistencies. The work is lined with a wax adhesive. Broad yet thin washes of retouch, primarily to background in u.l. and u.r. quadrants. There is extremely mild scattered craquelure.
