Chippendale Walnut Tall Clock, Pennsylvania, c. 1790, with painted iron dial, thirty-hour, right-mounted rack and snail strike and recoil escapement regulated by a seconds- beating pendulum and powered by a single iron weight suspended from a wooden pulley and endless chain, (decorative hinges added to door front, case refinished), ht. 89 in. decorative Victorian hinges added to door front, case refinished; scrolls and feet are original, hinges are probable replacements; dial is undisturbed.
