Identified in inscriptions in the matrix, sheet size 26 x 36 in., unframed. Condition: Margins of 4 in. or more, toned, minor tear l.l.; The Grand Trotting Stallion Axtell... 1889 (Conningham, 253). Identified in inscriptions in the matrix, sheet size 25 3/4 x 36 in., unframed. Condition: Margins of 3 1/2 in. or more, laid down onto cardboard, toned, two tears into image, surface abrasions. Stallion Phallas- tear abour 1/2 x 3/4 in at l.l. edge margin, several small edge nicks; Trotting Gelding Frank- fairly unobtrusive tears unless under very close inspection, one tear starting at u. c. edge down about 16 in. through driver''s hat bill, arms, legs through horse''s rear leg; the other tear starting at u.c down about 11 1/4 in. through whip and just into horse''s back about 1/2 in.; couple small abrasions to the right of the top of the whip, a few scratches and abrasions in the margins.
