Inlaid Mahogany Veneer Tea Caddy, America or England, late 18th century, the rectangular caddy with an incurved molded edge on hinged lid, brass handle, lower inlaid chain border, the interior fitted with three lift-out tin cannisters with hinged lids, (veneer losses), ht. 7 1/4, wd. 10 3/4, dp. 5 3/4 in. Losses- right border on top of lid, and a section of the thin inlaid geometric border, also the geometric trim is lifting a little on the left side of lid; veneer strip lining lower bottom rt.of lid is missing; thin 1/2 in. and 1 in. losses on lower front corners of box, secondary wood is pine.
