J. H. Bufford, lithographer (American, 19th Century) A View of the Mansion of the Late Lord Timothy Dexter in High Street, Newbury Port 1810, c. 1860. Lithograph with hand-coloring on paper, with key below identifying each of the life-size wooden statues, sheet size 16 x 26 in., in a later molded wood frame. Condition: Toning, stains, creases in background. Note: This lithograph was published in Newburyport by John G. Tilton, who, according to inscriptions in the matrix, also published an account of Lord Dexter's life by Samuel L. Knapp, which this print promotes. the brownish stains are from a previous wooden backboard.
