Federal Mahogany Tall Clock, Elnathan Taber, Roxbury, Massachusetts, circa 1795, with brass-stop fluted columns, tombstone-shaped door, ogee bracket feet, 12 in. painted iron dial with floral corners, moon's age dial in the arch and signed, "Elnathan Taber, Roxbury" and eight-day time and strike movement, wooden pendulum rod, brass faced bob and two period iron weights, (restoration), ht. 95 in. Ogee feet profiles, fret and plinths are restored, rear blocking is original on base, brass finials are old, period iron weights, original pendulum, hands and winding key, dial and signature are undisturbed, movement original to dial and both original to case, paint losses on moon''s age dial, old surface on case.
