Chapman Manufacturing Company, 20th century. A paint decorated Neoclassical mirror with cresting featuring a classical urn issuing wrought iron trailing floral and foliate scrolls flanked by urn finials surmounting a rectangular frame, the whole painted with laurel leaves and simulated marble, headed with a painted tablet representing French marriage with pierced heart, ribbon tied quivers, lovebirds and the French flag over beaded moldings and a rectangular mirror plate, the sides fashioned as pilasters headed with gilt capitals and ending with turned rests, the base with table decorated with oval cartouche painted with seated sculpture of lady justice. The back impressed with 'Chapman Made in Spain'. Approximate height 55", width 24.25", depth 2.87".
