Ernest Thompson Seton (American, 1860-1946) On the Prowl Signed "Ernest Thompson Seton" l. r. and dedication dated "Jan 3 1925" inscribed l.r. Ink and wash with whiting on paper/board, sight size 15 1/4 x 11 1/2 in. (38.7 x 29 .2 cm), framed. Condition: Mild toning, not examined out of frame. N.B. British-born artist, Ernest Thompson Seton is best known for his depictions of animals. He is also chairman of the founding committee of the Boy Scouts of America and acted as Chief Scout until 1915.
