Needlework Family Record, "Wrought by Polly Holman," probably Middlesex County, Massachusetts, the record worked in silk threads on a gauze ground, depicting a leafy tree bearing fruit stitched with the names and vital statistics of six of the seven children born to Polly Converse Holman (b. July 25, 1791, d. August 30, 1871), and Charles Holman, who were married July 25, 1813, (background losses, toning, stains), 12 x 13 1/2 in. Note: The backing on the reverse is inscribed in pencil with genealogical information regarding Polly and her children.
