OSGOOD COMMON SAFETY 1797"in black lettering around an an oval cartouche centered with a polychrome painted scene of a house in a landscape, surrounded by painted scrolls, on a black ground (paint losses, replaced leather handle loop), ht. 17 in. Note: The name of Osgood was a prominent name in the North Andover, Massachusetts, area.
