Jeweled Dagger, Thailand, 18th/19th century, green stone hilt carved in the shape of a parrot's head inset with rubies set in gold for the eyes, beak of gold with a suspended pendant of glass, gold, diamonds, rubies, and pearls, the body of the parrot inset with two diamond studded gold bands, ferrule of gold chased with birds and flowers, double-edged blade of Indian origin, scabbard of gold over a wooden core chased and engraved with floral bands, (loss to the parrot's crest, line to the hilt, small crack to the gold at the drag of the scabbard), overall lg. 18 1/2 in.
