Charles I Needlework Picture, England, 1646, stumpwork picture on a silk ground, with padded bust-length profile portrait of King Charles I of England, (1600-1649), with eye bead, applied hair, pen and ink details, framed by gold metallic threads worked in a chain pattern and couched ropetwist outline over inscription "C.
