American School, 20th century. "Abstract Field in Purples" - 1981, watercolor on Arches paper, indistinguishably signed and dated lower right. Painting is composed of overlapping vertical fields of color, with a wide margin of reddish purple at center flanked by bands of rose, purple, mustard yellow, teal, and orange, on paper with deckled edge. Framed approximately 35.75" x 50.75", unframed 25.75" x 40.25".
