Ferrotype of Brother Thomas Damon, Enfield, Connecticut, mid 19th century, in an oval gilt metal mat and embossed hinged black leather case, a penciled inscription on the reverse reads "Thomas Damon Died July 28 1880," sight size 1 7/8 x 1 3/8 in. Note: Thomas Damon (1819-1880), Hancock, Massachusetts. During his 55 years of Shaker life, he practiced woodworking in Hancock and Tyringham, Massachusetts, as well as Enfield, Connecticut.
