Three Shaker Graduating Striped Wooden Pails, attributed to Thomas Fisher, (1823-1903), Enfield, Connecticut, the pails with turned hardwood handles, wire bails, diamond shaped sheet iron bail plates, black painted sheet iron hoops with vertical cut ends, alternating light and dark hardwood staves with tongue-and-groove joinery, one pail base inscribed "Fred E. Whitcomb Troy N.Y.," (imperfections), ht. to rim 5 7/8, 5, 3 1/2 in. Note: Thomas Fisher often joined light and dark woods to give a distinctive contrast.
