Carved and Engraved Ivory Scrimshaw Seal, America, 19th century, oblong form with engraved depiction of six American flags and shield over crossed cannon below the inscription "LIBERTY," and a sunburst on one side, a three masted ship engraved on the reverse, the base carved with the name "LOHN G. JESSEN," heighted with red and black, 1 7/8 x 1 5/8 in. Provenance: Katherine and Edgar Seeler.
