Queen Anne Tiger Maple and Maple Slant-lid Desk, probably Massachusetts, c. 1740-60, the lid opens to an interior of a central fan-carved drawer and two concave drawers flanked by document drawers with baluster fronts and three valanced compartments on two drawers, the outermost with carved block front, all on two projecting half- drawers above a case of four thumbmolded and graduated drawers on short cabriole legs ending in pad feet on platforms with shaped returns centering a shaped pendant, replaced brasses, refinished, (imperfections), ht. 43 1/4, wd. 35 1/2, dp. 19 1/4 in.
