Pair Federal Brass and Iron Andirons, attributed to Daniel King, Philadelphia, 1790-1810, each with urn-form finial with bright-cut and punch-work swag and pendant designs with beaded borders supported on a tapered column embellished with spiraling vines, stepped square plinth with engraved shield and punch-work chevron border, over a shaped skirt with conforming swag and pendant design, further supported on spurred cabriole legs with claw-and-ball feet, ht. 30 1/2, wd. 13 1/4, dp. 25 1/2 in. Provenance: Descended through the family of John Trumbull, first Governor of Connecticut.
