Pair of Chippendale Walnut Carved Side Chairs, Pennsylvania, c. 1780, each chair has a shaped crest rail above a pierced Gothic splat and raked stiles above a trapezoidal slip seat on molded and valanced frame joining frontal cabriole legs ending in claw and ball feet and shaped flaring rear legs, refinished, (minor imperfections), ht. 38 1/2, seat ht. 19 in. Old label affixed to the skirt reads "to be returned to Elizabeth Garrett, 1909."
