Smith, Robert (1757-1842), Letter Signed, February 5th, 1802, one page, as Sec. of the Navy, to Thomas Perkins of Boston, pension confirmation letter for former seaman Uriah Hanscom, disabled in the line of duty, a pension of nine dollars a month and back pension of $159 to be sent to him in "Kittery in the Province of Maine," (slight edge loss, browned).
