Taylor, Zachary (1784-1850), Autograph Letter Signed, May 28th, 1847, two pages, to General J. E. Wool in camp at Saltillio, lengthy letter concerning troop movements, the mustering out of certain companies and his concern for certain weakness in parts of the defensive line and his doubts about a forward offensive by troops under his command as the end of hostilities and an armistice seems all but certain, (very good).
