(Hamilton, Alexander) Church, John B. and Family, Group of seven autograph letters signed between the members of the Church family, John B., Philip, and Eliza, and family friend William Stewart (eyewitness to Hamilton's death), July 12th to August 15th, 1804, all concerning the duel between Aaron Burr and Hamilton, his death (July 12th being the day after the duel), and the subsequent outcry against Burr, "Burr has retired into the country. God grant that he may never return," (mostly good condition, age typical faults). Note: John B. Church was Hamilton's step-father.
