Light blue center field with cream edging and yellow diamond border; measures approximately 9'2" x 5'10". In 1924 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Stanislav V'Soske revolutionized the floor covering industry, when he created the first hand tufted wool rug. Seeking an alternative to the traditional loop pile method, Mr. V'Soske perfected a way to tuft through a strong cotton base, creating a needle that could provide various pile heights and densities. This innovation made possible versatility in the interpretation of design and a custom capability that has been unchallenged ever since.
