Capriccio landscape painting depicting the ruins of the palace of Septimius Severus (an extension of the Domus Augustana built during the reign of the Roman Emperor Lucius Septimius Severus (193 - 211 AD)) on the Palatine Hill in Rome, Italy, with a figure seated below a degrading, overgrown archway as she paints the scene with easel and paint box, with a hillside dotted with Roman architecture including visible through the central archway in the distance. Framed approximately 26.5" x 18.5". Unframed approximately 22.25" x 14". Provenance: From the Estate of Channing S. Jun, M.D., Eastman, Georgia.
