Chinese, Qing Dynasty Yongzheng Period mark (1723-1735), likely later. A flambe glazed urn or jar of wide pear shaped form with flaring ring foot issuing a bulbous body with fu dog mask handles holding ring in mouth, with a constricted neck issuing flaring mouth with tall straight rim, allover with flambe glaze thinning at handles and rim to ochre celadon shade, the underside glazed in light orange. Underside with four character impressed mark for the Yongzheng imperial reign. Approximate height 12", diameter 8.5".
