Vallauris Pottery (French, founded 1873), circa 1960. A slip cast earthenware ewer or pitcher, decorated with sea foam or ‘Écume de mer’ glaze (sometimes referred to as 'fat lava'), having a slanted mouth and short rounded handle joining the spreading body. Marked to the underside 'Vallauris' and with silver sticker on neck 'GRAU D' AGDE'. Approximate height 15.8", diameter of base 5.75".
