French, 20th century. A Louis XVI style giltwood carved center table or table de milleu having a turtle shaped marble top inset in a conforming frame over a paneled frieze decorated with bows and draping ribbon centered with oval portrait medallion raised on turned, tapered and fluted legs headed with patera blocks united by a shaped cross stretcher centered with urn and draping floral garland raised on leafy toupie feet. Approximate height 28.87", width 35.5", depth 21.5".
