Continental School. "A Boy with His Fishing Net"- 1878, oil on wood panel further mounted to additional wood panel, signed at lower right "C. Forster 1878", with indistinct graphite inscription to verso. Figural seascape painting depicting a young boy standing among the slick rocks of the seashore with a fishing net slung over his right shoulder as a little girl crouches down beside him attending the day's catch in a small fishing basket in the sand, with calm sea waters and brilliant sunset in the distance. Framed approximately 17.25" x 14.25". Unframed approximately 13.625" x 10.625".
