CHICKERING & SONS, MAHOGANY GRAND PIANO, 1895, A 85770, L 76":International pitch A, 435, Chickering & Sons, patent granted Oct. 5th 1886. Carved at the crown, raised on fluted tapered legs with beaded rim, lyre - shaped support above pedals, standard rectangular and adjustable music rack and shelf. Accompanying bench H 18 1/2", L 36", D 15", with storage seat and of a later date. Only two pianos of this type were made, the other owned by President Harry S. Truman.
