After Auguste Moreau (French, 1835-1917). "Aurore", patinated bronze, incised signature to back of base. Modern reproduction figural bronze sculpture depicting a Classical female in full length clutching a crescent moon form in both hands as it circles around her back, the figure standing on a half round representing the earth with billowing clouds spreading out behind her feet. Bronze mounted to a graduated green marble plinth with brass plaque to front, bronze inscribed to front "Aurore Par Aug Moreau Me'daille D'or A L' Exposition". Overall approximate height 25", width 10", depth 8".
