Varaldo Guiseppe (Cari) Cariani (Italian/American (Indiana),1891-1969), "View of Oyster Bay", oil on artist board, apparently unsigned. Painting depicting a view of the coastline with large rocks on beach in front of serene water with darkened horizon in background. Accompanied with document from Dorin M. Embry dated October 21, 1980 issued by the Brown County Art Guild, Inc. in Nashville, Indiana that this work was purchased in 1980 and from the Estate of Marie Goth. Framed approximately 9" x 11". Unframed approximately 6.1" x 8.1". Provenance: Estate of Marie Goth, Brown Country, Indiana whereby acquired by Mr. John West on October 6, 1980.
