Continental, late 19th/early 20th century. Burled walnut veneered dresser box of rectangular form with silvered hardware and mounts with hinged top with central figural watercolor sketch depicting three winged putti or cherubs in fanciful scene, pencil signed lower right "E. Petrovits" possibly for Ladislaus Eugen Petrovits (Austrian,1839-1907). Box otherwise unmarked. Overall approximate height 1", width 7.5", depth 4.9".
