GORHAM SILVER OPEN SALTS WITH SPOONS, C. 1865, SET OF FOUR PIECES, ENCASED:Including 2 elongated open salts flanked by classical style portrait medallions with bowknot crests, each engraved "Jennie" at one side and "Feb. 28, 1865" at the other, together with 2 matching salt spoons, also engraved "Jennie" and "Feb. 28th, 1865", fitted within the original tooled leather hinged case opening to emerald green silk and velvet lining. Provenance, the Haynes Family of Springfield, Massachusetts, by descent to a Jackson, Mich. collector.
