Figures depicted in relief with bone or ivory carved faces in a variety of activities, expressions and gestures. Applied decoration hand painted in addition to the gold accented border, cloud, floral, fruit and other elements. Two large architectural buildings flanking the composition on the left and right spanning two panels. Lower medallions with Asian still life scenes including fruit, vessels, and brushpots. Back of six paneled screen with gold floral decoration on red ground. Each panel 78 inches x 17.7 inches.
