DRESDEN PORCELAIN JEWEL CASQUE, SIGNED, C. 1900, H 5 1/2", W 13", 'REMBRANDT PAINTING BABY STUART':Gorgeous porcelain jewel casque with hinged lid, gilt metal frame, and opens to reveal full sateen lining. Signed scene about cover depicting Rembrandt painting Baby Stuart; illegibly signed lower right of image, appears to be "F. A..ssolet". Having a cobalt blue border about lid and base with floral & scroll gold leaf designs. H.5 1/2" x 13" x 9". Collected by Herbert Rupp of Detroit circa 1940.
