American, 20th Century. Tiffany Furnaces gilt bronze & favrile glass footed compote or tazza with a narrow elongated Greek key or meander scroll outer band and a broad shell or stylized floral embossed motif inset oval green favrile glass. The interior of the bowl is a contrasting gilt dore bronze. Marked to the underside Favrile, Louis C Tiffany Furnaces, Inc. together with the firm?s monogrammed hallmark and model number 505. Also engraved with the dates 1875 - 1925 and the monogrammed with the stylized letter 'M'. Height 2.5", diameter 8.25".
