The kylin in Chinese mythology is seen as being a good omen, a sign of propserity to come. Other times, the kylin commemorates the loss of a sage or ruler. Hand embroidered textile contained in a glazed frame. Overall 4.5 inches x 6 inches. Image size 3.5 inches x 5 inches.
