Anthony Thieme (American/ Massachusetts, 1888-1954). "Woodland Creek" - likely 1944, oil on canvas, signed lower right "a Thieme". Painting depicts a serene creek meandering through a heavily wooded forest, a parcel of land jutting into the left side of the composition with a large tree which overhangs a natural rock dam to center of creek, with a densely wooded background fronted by a rocky beach. Inscribed to verso of canvas "1944". Framed 29.5" x 37", unframed 20" x 28.25". _x000D_
