Faberge (Russian, Late 19th/Early 20th century). Finely crafted cabochon sapphire, diamond and gold brooch with marks on end of pin form clasp for August Holmstrom (Finnish/Russian, 1829-1903) and assay marks for Russia. Pin of bar form with three oval cabochon sapphires (center vertically aligned, end jewels horizontally aligned) with two round diamonds in between gems. Holmstrom was a silver and gold workmaster for Faberge and created a number of other brooches and pieces of fine jewelry with sapphires and diamonds in undulating gold settings. Approximate length 2". Total weight approximately 14.2 grams.
