JOSEPH CREMER (FRENCH ACTIVE 1836-1878) FRUITWOOD INLAID, 2ND EMPIRE ROSEWOOD SIDEBOARD H 50", W 78":D 19"; c. 1850; flanking front door panels with floral and ribbon satinwood parquetry signed by Cremer in the right and left door panels; center door having urn with musical and floral still life inlay; single drawer with garland inlay; crowned center with musical , floral and jardinière parquetry. Purchased by the consignor's grandmother Lucy Beaumont (Millard was her maiden name) prior to 1929 (the year of her death) but after his grandfather, Dr. Beaumont, died in 1890). (rev.20071212)
