Large naturalistic painting depicting a mountainous landscape with small pond at left in foreground before a ridge with many loose rocks with the right side of ridge catching sunlight from outside the matrix, with a tall mountain or ridge to background with sloping landscape in middleground, with storm clouds rolling in along horizon line with bright wide clouds to left. Stamped to verso of canvas "George Rowney & Co. London" for the London art supply store operational between 1832-1924. Framed approximately 41.75" x 61", unframed approximately 30.375" x 50.25".
