English, Early 18th century & late 18th century. One period William and Mary (1689-1702) stained walnut wood frame, the other late 18th century with a darker finish, both upholstered in multicolored needlepoint fabric with figural scenes, one chair depicting a cavalier, the other a lady, both chairs with dusty rose velvet sides and back, s-scroll and foliate carved front stretcher, shaped back stretcher, all raised on block-and-baluster-turned legs. Approximate height 40.75", seat width 20", seat depth 16", seat to floor 18". Provenance: From the Estate of Sam & Florence Inman, Atlanta, Georgia.
